Visakha: Who will win in Araku?

According to the latest list released by the election Commission, there are a total of 2,32,337 voters in araku constituency. Since the formation of araku assembly Constituency, a total of three elections have been held. In the first election held in 2009, tdp candidate Siveri Soma won against congress candidate Vanjangi Kanthamma with a majority of 425 votes. 

Soma got a total of 34,959 votes while Kanthamma got 34,554. In the 2014 election, Siveri Soma contested from tdp and kidari sarveswara rao contested on behalf of YCP. sarveswara rao won with a majority of 34,053 votes over Soma. sarveswara rao got 63,700 votes while Sieveri Soma got 29,647 votes. However, Kidari joined the tdp three years later when the telugu Desam government was formed under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. Both sarveswara rao and Soma lost their lives in the hands of Maoists before the 2019 elections.

Chandrababu Naidu gave the ministerial post to Sarveswara Rao's son shravan Kumar, who was a sitting MLA. Also ticket was given in 2019 election. Chetty Falguna and Siyyari Donnudora contested as an independent on behalf of YCP. Falguna won with a majority of 25,481 votes against Donnudora. Chetti Phalguna got 53,101 votes while Donnudora got 27,620 votes. After the election Donnudora joined the telugu Desam Party. chandrababu naidu announced as the candidate of Donnudorane party in this election. Therefore he also started campaigning. But as part of the changed equations after that, telugu desam party had to give Arakuloya seat to BJP. Now Pangi Rajarao is contesting on behalf of the alliance and Matsyalingam is contesting on behalf of YCP. Although there are many candidates including congress party, the main contest will be between bjp and ycp candidates. Let's see what will happen..
