Neha Hiremath was featured in New York's Time Square…

The tragic murder of Neha Hiremath, daughter of congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath from Hubli, Karnataka, has crossed international data-borders and reached the bustling heart of New York's Times Square. The outcry has been led by indian immigrants in the United States, who have held rallies under banners reading "Justice for Neha", "Stop love Jihad" and "Save the Hindu Girl", drawing significant attention to the case. is

Neha Hiremat, a 23-year-old MCA first-year student, was brutally murdered on april 18 at the BVB college campus in Hubli, Karnataka. Reports suggest that Fayaz Khundunaik, a former student of the same college, attacked Neha, stabbing her several times, including in the neck and stomach. Both the attacker and the victim were later taken to a local hospital, where Neha was declared brought dead. The motive behind the murder, as claimed by Neha's father, is alleged to be rooted in a case of 'love jihad' - a term used by some to force Hindu women to convert to Islam.

The incident has sparked not only widespread mourning but worldwide protests, including a major rally in New Jersey. Echoing the sentiment in Times Square, protesters in New jersey aimed to raise awareness and demand action against forced conversions, rape and violence targeting Hindu women. The display in Times Square was particularly different, with a picture of Neha alongside the message "Hindu Beti Bachao" amplifying the campaign for justice.
