They told the police that Nellai was working at the Blue Diamond Hotel in Purasaivakam owned by bjp candidate Nayanar Nagendran and had asked him to bring this money for election expenses.

DGP shankar Jiwal has ordered the investigation of the case related to the confiscation of Rs 4 crore in Nellie Express train at tambaram, chennai to be transferred to CBCID.Parliamentary elections in tamil Nadu ended on 19th. Earlier, when the election campaign was in full swing, money was distributed to the voters. To prevent this, the election flying soldiers were engaged in intensive checks. In this case, on april 6, the election flying soldiers received secret information that several crores of rupees were being transported by train from chennai to Egmore.

Officers conducted a search on a specific train in its force. 4 crore rupees were seized then. Following this, the police interrogated 3 persons, Satish (33), Naveen (31) and Perumal (25), who were carrying the money. They told the police that Nellai was working at the Blue Diamond Hotel in Purasaivakam owned by bjp candidate Nayanar Nagendran and had asked him to bring this money for election expenses. After this the money has been handed over to the Income Tax Department and the money has been kept in the treasury.

Following this, the tambaram police are conducting an investigation regarding the money of 4 crore rupees. bjp candidate Nayanar Nagendran was summoned for the 2nd time to appear in person for this investigation. Meanwhile, tambaram City police Commissioner Amalraj suggested to tamil Nadu Law and Order DGP shankar Jiwal to transfer the investigation of this case to CBCID. Following this recommendation, the DGP ordered yesterday to transfer the investigation of the case to the CBCID. The CBCID is expected to start the investigation after receiving the documents related to the case.
