The hearing on the petitions challenging the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries in himachal pradesh High court, which was going on continuously for three days, has now been postponed to May 8. The hearing started from Monday, april 22, before the division bench of himachal pradesh High court judge Justice vivek Singh Thakur and Justice Bipin Chandra Negi.

The arguments on behalf of the applicants were completed on Monday. After this, the debate on behalf of some CPS was completed on tuesday and Wednesday. Similarly, the arguments on behalf of the applicants who filed the petition were also completed. Now this matter has to be debated by the state government. For this, the division bench issued orders to list the case on May 8.

What did the lawyers appearing for CPS say in the court?

During the hearing on the case, the CPS told the court that they only assist the ministers in their work. He has nothing to do with the work of the cabinet. CPS said that his appointment has been made as per the law and his appointment does not violate the fundamental rights of any citizen. On behalf of the applicants, challenging the law related to CPS appointment, a question mark has been raised on the ability of the government to make this law.

On behalf of the applicants, it was said that the appointments of CPS in himachal pradesh are contrary to the decisions of the supreme Court; hence the work done by them is also illegal. Also, the salary stole should also be taken back. On behalf of the applicants, a request was made to put a stop to the appointments of CPS and it was said that they do not have the right to remain in the post even for a moment.
