Indian Navy: Proud indian Navy - Admiral Dinesh Tripathi appointed as next chief!

Admiral Dinesh Tripathi: The government of india has appointed Admiral Dinesh Tripathi as the next commander of the indian Navy. Tripathi has served in many important roles in his 40-year journey. It has been officially announced that Admiral Dinesh Tripathi will assume his new post as the new Admiral of the indian Navy on 30th April. It is to be noted that before taking charge as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, Tripathi served as the commander of the Western Naval Command. Dinesh Tripathi is an alumnus of Sainik school Rewa and National Defense Academy, Katakwasla. He was commissioned into the indian Navy on July 1, 1985. A communications and electronic warfare expert, Tripathi has served as a Signal Communication Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer in the Navy's flagship warships.Dinesh Tripathi has commanded indian Navy ships Vinash, Kirch, and Trishul. He has held various important operational and staff appointments as Naval Operations Officer and director of Naval Operations, Western Fleet, Mumbai.

After his promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral, he served as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Policy and Plans) at Naval Headquarters and Officer of the Eastern Fleet. Despite the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dinesh Tripathi has been prepared to tackle several complex security challenges. Tripathi is a graduate of the Defense services Staff college, Wellington, where he was awarded the Thimmaiya Medal. He attended the Naval High Command Training and Naval Command college at the US Naval war college, Newport, Rhode Island in 2007-08, where he won the prestigious Robert E. Bateman international Prize.
