Former chief minister Digvijay Singh, while addressing the general meeting, said that when he was the chief minister, he did not collect electricity bills from the farmers for 10 years. Apart from this, people also use free electricity in their homes. Taking the bharatiya janata party government to task, he said that 30 lakh government posts are vacant in the entire country, including state and center. 30000 posts of education workers are vacant in Madhya Pradesh. Why is the government not providing employment opportunities for these posts? He said that wherever recruitment is done, people from outside come and take advantage of it. There are complaints of irregularities in these recruitments.
