Accordingly, Sasi Tharoor has stated in his nomination that he has assets worth more than Rs.55 crore. He mentioned that his total income was Rs.4.32 crores in the financial year 2022-2023 alone.

In the affidavit filed with the nomination, Sasi Tharoor, who has mentioned the details of his assets and debts, has stated that he has immovable assets of over Rs 49 crore. This includes deposits in 19 banks, mutual fund investments, etc. He said that he has 534 grams of gold worth Rs.32 lakh as movable assets and Rs.36,000 in cash and cash in hand.

As for immovable assets, he has 2.51 acres of agricultural land in palakkad and 10.47 acres of self-acquired land in thiruvananthapuram, which is currently worth over Rs 6.20 crore, Sasi Tharoor said. He also said that the value of his house in thiruvananthapuram is Rs.52 lakhs. shashi tharoor also said that he owns two cars, a maruti Ciaz and a maruti XL6.

Last year in 2014, Sasi Tharoor had declared that he had assets of more than Rs 23 crore, and in 2019, he had assets of more than Rs 35 crore. Compared to that, the value of his property has skyrocketed in the last 10 years
