Following this, former chief minister O. Panneerselvam waited for more than 1 hour at the district election office to confirm his symbol. After that, the election Officer has announced that he will be allotted the jackfruit symbol.
Similarly, DMK's general secretary Durai vaiko, who is contesting from the Trichy constituency in the DMK alliance, has been continuously fighting for the Bambaram symbol, but the district election Officer has ordered to allocate a matchbox symbol to him.
