Know what is Ramganjmandi Pachpahar Project?


The acute water problem in the Ramganjmandi area is going to be solved soon. Under the Jal jeevan Mission, about 95 percent work of Ramganjmandi Pachpahar project has been completed. In this project, water supply has been started in the villages where connections have been made under the Har Ghar Nal Mission. Under the ambitious project of the Central government, water supply will be provided to about 185 villages and 7 hamlets of Ramganjmandi tehsil of the district. Whereas in the villages where connections have been given to the houses, water supply is being provided once in 48 hours, which is being planned to be increased to 24 hours after the completion of the project.


Rs 120 crore has been spent

The total cost of this project is Rs 170 crore, which includes conveying water from the dam to reservoirs and houses. 50 percent of the amount to be spent on the project is being spent by the state government and 50 percent by the central government.

The project was started about two and a half years ago, the work of which is in the final stage. At present, an amount of Rs 120 crore has been spent on the project in which the work of providing connections including pump house, high reservoir, and pipeline in the identified villages has been completed.


Connections have been given to more than 36 thousand houses

Engineer Ankit Saraswat said that in the scheme, a target was set to provide connections to more than 38 thousand houses in 185 villages of Ramganjmandi tehsil. In which connections have been given to about 95 percent i.e. more than 36 thousand houses. The work of providing tap connections in the remaining houses is in progress. Under the scheme, clean water can be supplied to about 3 lakh population of the Ramganjmandi area. Under the scheme, Chambal river water will be supplied from Rana Pratap Sagar Dam to all these houses.
