It is known that BRS MLC Kalwakuntla Kavitha, who was arrested in the delhi Liquor case, was sent to Tihar Jail. She was taken to jail on Tuesday. Today marks the end of her first day in jail. According to reliable sources, it is reported that kavitha had lunch along with two other female prisoners in section number 6 of the jail. Had snacks and drank tea in the morning.
Kavita had dinner with her two fellow prisoners on tuesday night. They took pulses along with rice. These were also served and eaten to two other prisoners who were with her,' said the prison sources. Another officer said that kavitha had tea, food, and tv watching time like other prisoners.
Jail sources said Kavita did not demand any specific accommodation. The officials explained that they would give her things as per the rules. However, according to the court's orders, kavitha is allowed to arrange her food, bed, bedding, and slippers, the jail official explained.
Apart from that, the court also allowed to wear clothes, books, pens, papers, jewelry, medicines, and gold ornaments. However, jail sources said that she was not wearing any jewelry while coming to the jail. The jail official revealed that she has the facility of using the books in the library of Tihar Jail. Meanwhile, there are around 500 women in the tihar jail complex. It is noteworthy that kavitha is the third political leader after former delhi ministers manish Sisodia and sanjay singh to be arrested in tihar jail in the delhi liquor case. Sisodia Jail No. 1, and Jail No. 2 were allotted to Sanjay Singh. AAP leader Satyendra Kumar, who was arrested in another money laundering case, has been kept in Jail Number Seven. It is known that Kavita was remanded till april 9 in the delhi Liquor case.
