7 MLAs of UP are contesting lok sabha elections...

Seven MLAs of Uttar Pradesh will data-face the litmus test in the upcoming lok sabha elections. All these MLAs have been given lok sabha tickets by their respective parties. Most of them are from the Samajwadi Party. SP has fielded five MLAs while one mla each is from bjp and RLD.

SP has given a ticket to its senior leader Shivpal Yadav from Badaun. He is mla from Jaswantnagar in Etawah. Badaun is considered a safe seat for the party. There are four lakh Yadav and three and a half lakh Muslim voters here who have traditionally been the vote bank of SP. The current mp from Badaun is BJP's Sanghamitra Maurya, who is the daughter of Swami prasad Maurya. His candidature is still uncertain. The main reason for this is his father's changing political loyalties and his statements against Sanatan Dharma.

He will challenge former BSP mp Ritesh Pandey who is now the bjp candidate from this constituency.

SP mla Awadhesh prasad is the party's candidate from Milkipur in Faizabad. He will challenge BJP's Lallu Singh who is seeking a third term in the Lok Sabha. SP has chosen its senior mla Ravidas Mehrotra to contest from the lucknow lok sabha seat against Union Defense minister Rajnath Singh.
