As per report the Regional employees and officers of the Forest Department of madhya pradesh will not perform duty in the lok sabha elections. The election commission has given an undertaking on a petition filed in the high court that the duty of regional officers and employees of the Forest Department of madhya pradesh will not be imposed in the lok sabha elections. Chief Justice ravi Malimath and Justice vishal mishra heard the petition after the undertaking given by the election Commission. Resolved.

Perhaps in fact, during the madhya pradesh assembly elections, the regional employees and officers of the Forest Department were put on election duty. During that time too, the officers and employees of the Forest Department had raised the demand of not imposing election duty through correspondence, but the election commission did not agree to this. Didn't pay attention. Whereas, it is mentioned in the rules of the election commission itself that the regional staff of the Forest Department cannot be used for the duty of election work. It is believed that the responsibilities of the regional staff of the Forest Department are important. Therefore they are kept away from election duty.

Moreover in the petition filed in the high court on behalf of the State Forest Rangers Officer Association, advocate Ankit Mishra argued that due to the absence of regional staff, thefts will increase in the forest area. Besides, incidents of forest fires also increase during summer. In such a situation, if the regional staff of the Forest Department remains engaged in election duty, then it will be impossible to stop these incidents. On behalf of the election commission of India, an undertaking was filed in the court yesterday (20 March) by advocate siddharth Seth. In this, the Commission assured the court that the field employees and officers of the Forest Department will be kept away from election related responsibilities. After this the high court resolved the petition.
