Reportedly former madhya pradesh minister Gaurishankar Bisen, who publicly called a manager of the district Cooperative bank a 'thief', has received a blow from the High Court. madhya pradesh high court rejected the petition of bjp leader and former minister Gauri shankar Bisen, in which the defamation complaint against him was challenged in the MP-MLA special court of Gwalior. After the order of the high court, now the pending defamation case against him will continue in the MP-MLA court of Gwalior.

Perhaps in fact, Sanjay Nagayach, the then president of district Cooperative bank Panna, had filed a defamation complaint against Bisen and five others before the gwalior trial court on May 15, 2014. He had alleged that Bisen had made objectionable remarks against him in a public meeting and addressed him as 'thief'. This tarnished his social reputation. The defamation case is currently pending in the MP-MLA Special court, Gwalior.

Former minister Gaurishankar Bisen had filed a petition in the high court in 2019 demanding quashing of Nagaich's complaint. It was argued on Bisen's behalf that he had an old political rivalry with the complainant. It was argued that the complainant has not made it clear as to when and where the general meeting was held. This complaint has been filed maliciously. During the hearing, it was argued that Bisen was the Cooperation minister and he had taken action against Sanjay Nagaich in the case of misuse of public funds. Therefore, due to old enmity, a defamation complaint has been filed. At the same time, it was argued on behalf of the complainant that it is the jurisdiction of the trial court to decide whether the complaint of defamation is maintainable or not?
