More than 8 lakh voters increased in Himachal in 10 years

The dates of lok sabha elections in the country have been announced. The seventh and last phase of voting in the hill state of himachal pradesh is to be held on june 1 and the counting of votes will take place on june 4. The number of voters in himachal pradesh has increased by about 8.38 lakh in the last 10 years. In the year 2014, the number of voters in the state was 48 lakh 10 thousand 071, whereas in the year 2024 it has increased to 56 lakh 38 thousand 422.

Among these, the number of male voters is 28 lakh 79 thousand 200, while the number of female voters is 27 lakh 59 thousand 187. In the elections to be held on four lok sabha seats of himachal pradesh, 1 lakh 38 thousand 918 voters will vote for the first time. Of these, 75 thousand 1 male and 63 thousand 916 female voters are included.

Number of third gender voters increased

The number of third gender voters has also increased in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. In the year 2014, the number of third gender voters was only two, whereas now this number has increased to 35. Even in the 2022 assembly elections, the number of third gender voters in the state was 38. In the year 2019, third gender voters were the highest. This year the election commission had registered 47 third gender voters.

Mission of election Commission- 414

The election commission has also started a special campaign to increase the voting percentage. The election commission has marked 414 such polling booths in the state, where less than 60 percent voting took place in the 2019 lok sabha elections. It has been named 'Mission 414'. Under this, these 414 polling stations will be specially targeted and work will be done to increase the voting percentage here.

Apart from this, in the lok sabha elections-2019, there were 22 assembly constituencies where the voting percentage was less than 70 percent. '22 going to 72' plan has been prepared to increase the voting percentage in these places. Under this, efforts will be made to specifically target these 22 assembly constituencies and increase their voting percentage to 72 percent.
