Express train issue.. Tamil Nadu BJP made a request - Union minister gave green signal in one day!
BJP leader Ashwatthaman: people have been demanding for a long time regarding the stoppage of express trains at Kuthalam railway stations in Ulundurpet and mayiladuthurai district.
It is well known that the people of the area have been continuously demanding that the express train should stop at Ulundurpettai in Kallakurichi district and the Tiruchendur express train should stop at Kuthalam railway station in mayiladuthurai district.
In this situation, BJP's State Secretary Aswathaman yesterday morning (14.03.2024) requested the Hon'ble Union minister Ashwini Vaishnav who had come to chennai to fulfill those demands. After hearing the matter from him, the minister promised to take immediate action.
Accordingly, the Union minister, who ordered the high officials of the Railways who were present during this meeting, assured that these demands would be fulfilled immediately. In this context, it is noteworthy that the Railway Board has fulfilled these demands and issued a report today (15-03-2024).
The Ministry of Railways has announced that the kollam Express train will stop at Ulundurpet and the Tiruchendur Express will stop at Guttalam. According to the press release issued by the Railway Board, the date of stopping of these trains will be announced later.
The immediate fulfillment of these long-standing demands by bjp State Secretary Ashwathaman has brought joy to the people of Ulundurpet and Guthalam.
