Nomination will have to be filed in person?

DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the entire process of filling nomination should be videographed and all the documents should be kept safely. A candidate can file maximum 4 nomination papers and contest from 2 lok sabha seats.

The nomination form can be filed on behalf of the candidate or his proposer. The nomination form cannot be sent by post, but will have to be submitted personally in the office of RO/ARO.

Returning Officer and Gurugram DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the candidate will also have to make public the details of his criminal records, if any. Apart from this, the candidate will have to give complete information about his criminal case along with an affidavit in Form 26 and he will also inform the political party in this regard. The political party will have to post information about such criminal cases on the official website of its party. Not only this, after filing the nomination, the candidate and the political party will also have to make public the information about the criminal case at least three times in newspapers and tv channels.
