The prime minister stated on social media site X, "We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and working for the early conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement." According to a Bloomberg article, the UK and India's most recent trade talks appeared to have ended without a resolution to any major issues.On march 8, UK officials returned from New Delhi, and sources close to both negotiating teams stated that obstacles remained in the areas of investment, commodities, and services.
