Mohan Yadav government's offer for private investors

Dr. Mohan Yadav's government has prepared a new plan to open new private medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav government is going to give an offer to private investors, under which medical colleges in mp will be opened by private investors and the hospital will be provided by the government. The government has decided that medical colleges will be established on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. For this, soon the district hospitals will be handed over to such private groups who want to open medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

With this, there will be no obligation of a hospital along with the medical college and a new medical college will be started at less cost. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya on tuesday (March 4) under the chairmanship of chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. After the cabinet meeting, minister Kailash Vijayvargiya told the media that today around Rs 500 crore is spent on building medical colleges and hospitals. To ensure that investors do not have to invest too much, the concerned district hospital itself will be handed over to the private group.

75 percent beds reserved for poor patients

Private groups will have to build only medical colleges. Along with this, a condition will also be kept that the salary of the hospital staff will be paid by the investor group. The government will provide land for the medical college to private groups at collector rates. Regarding the decision taken in the cabinet meeting, Kailash Vijayvargiya further said that under the scheme, 75 percent of the beds in such medical college hospitals will be reserved for poor patients. Private investors will be able to treat 25 percent of the patients at commercial rates.
