In preparation for the imminent lok sabha elections, prime minister Narendra Modi convened a significant meeting with Union Ministers on march 3, 2024, where he delivered clear instructions regarding their conduct during the election season. According to sources, PM Modi urged ministers to exercise caution in their statements, emphasizing the importance of thoughtful communication and advising them to steer clear of controversial comments.

The meeting covered several key aspects, including the immediate implementation of a 100-day agenda post the formation of the new government in May. Ministers also deliberated on setting targets for the upcoming five years. Additionally, a comprehensive presentation outlined a visionary roadmap for India's development by 2047, incorporating insights from extensive consultations with ministries, state governments, academia, industry organizations, and civil society.

Crucially, PM Modi emphadata-sized the need for ministers to effectively communicate information about government schemes to the public. During election campaigns, ministers were encouraged to spotlight the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government.

This meeting assumes heightened importance, possibly being the last one before the announcement of lok sabha election dates. In the backdrop of this gathering, the bjp had recently released its first list of 195 candidates, including key Union Ministers such as Parshottam Rupala, Mansukh Mandaviya, arjun Ram Meghwal, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and others. Overall, the meeting focused on strategic planning for the upcoming elections and the government's future course of action.
