At the inauguration of the new buses of the puducherry Road Transport Corporation, chief minister Rangasamy advised the employees that the transport employees should stop complaining about the authorities and come forward to run the unprofitable ones in profit.



Puducherry Road Transport Corporation inaugurated new buses today. Deputy governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, chief minister Rangasamy, Speaker Selvam and minister Lakshminarayanan participated in this and waved the flag and inaugurated the service of the new buses. 38 new buses have been purchased at a cost of Rs 17.30 crore.


Out of this, 26 buses have been allocated for puducherry and 12 buses for Karaikal. From puducherry it runs on long distance routes like Karaikal, Mahe, Nagercoil, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kumbakonam, Kumuli, Tirupati, Villupuram, Cuddalore. Also from Karaikal it runs through Coimbatore, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Chidambaram.




Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Rangaswamy said that the transport corporation will get income only if more passengers travel in government buses. Only then can you be paid. And the government will provide funds to run public sector enterprises. But the employees have to make profit through the company. But it doesn't. They are blaming the authorities. We are sending only 2 officers but employees should not blame the officers when you have a thousand people.


Already 31 percent profit came. Currently it is not. This is due to the irresponsibility of the employees. And people prefer puducherry government bus to go to Chennai. Therefore, chief minister Rangasamy said that the employees should come forward to run the transport corporation profitably.


After meeting the media at the end of the ceremony, the chief minister said that drugs cannot be allowed in Puducherry. A prominent figure has been arrested in tamil Nadu in connection with drugs. However, in puducherry we are suppressing it with an iron hand. drugs should never go to school students. He said that he has called the DGP and ordered to take strict action.
