Voting for the 2019 lok sabha elections was held in seven phases. The first phase was on 11 april 2019 and the last phase was on 19 May 2019. Voting was held in all seven phases in Uttar Pradesh, bengal and Bihar. Counting of votes was done on May 23. bharatiya janata party won 303 seats in the elections and formed the government with absolute majority for the second consecutive time. The bjp led alliance had won 353 seats.
