Sawai Madhopur lok sabha seat was changed to Tonk-Sawai Madhopur after delimitation in 2008. In the 2009 lok sabha elections, congress Party had made Namo Narayan its candidate, but bjp had made gurjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla its candidate. Tonk- Namo Narayan won the Sawai Madhopur seat and Kirori Singh Bainsla had to data-face defeat. Namo Narayan got a total of 3 lakh 75 thousand 572 votes, while bjp candidate Kirori Singh Bainsla got a total of 3 lakh 75 thousand 255 votes.

In the 2014 lok sabha elections, bharatiya janata party nominated Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria as its candidate from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur seat. This time congress had made former indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin its candidate. However, the bjp candidate had clean bowled him in the 2014 lok sabha elections. bjp candidate Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria had defeated congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin. bjp candidate Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria got a total of 5 lakh 48 thousand 537 votes, while congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin got a total of 4 lakh 13 thousand 31 votes.

In the 2019 lok sabha elections, bharatiya janata party again made Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria its candidate, but congress made Namo Narayan its candidate. In the 2019 lok sabha elections, bjp candidate Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria won and Namo Narayan had to data-face defeat. In the 2019 lok sabha elections, Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria got a total of 6 lakh 44 thousand 319 votes, while congress candidate Namo Narayan got a total of 5 lakh 33 thousand 28 votes.
