The biggest question is who benefited from Anil Masih's action. Another important issue lies in the answer to this question. How did a nominated councilor get so much courage as the presiding officer that he was not even afraid of the camera. After all, on whose advice and on whose trust did he carry out this work? Anil Masih will have to answer this. Also, the person who benefited from this misconduct of Anil Masih is also held accountable.

If the supreme court had not intervened in this matter, then Anil Masih had ensured by his behavior that even if chandigarh did not have the majority, bjp would have been the mayor for the next one year. When chandigarh Mayor's election was held on january 30, Anil Masih declared 8 ballot papers invalid. This cleared the way for bjp candidate Manoj Sonkar's victory against kuldeep Kumar, the joint candidate of aam aadmi party and congress alliance. The bjp candidate could get a total of 16 votes and the AAP-Congress candidate could only get 12 votes.

There are a total of 36 votes in the chandigarh Mayor election. Of these, 20 votes were being formed by aam aadmi party and Congress. Whereas on this front bjp was in minority with 16 votes. Due to the game of Anil Masih, bjp candidate was successful in registering victory on 30 January. bjp also knew that the matter had gone to the supreme Court. bjp must have hoped that the elections would be canceled and there would be a possibility of fresh elections. Therefore, even before the decision of the supreme court, bjp candidate Manoj Sonkar resigns from the post of Mayor. Meanwhile, three councilors of aam aadmi party join BJP. Through this, bjp ensures that its victory is confirmed in case of re-election.
