Reportedly after the announcement of alliance between Samajwadi party and congress in Uttar Pradesh, the question is arising as to who will be the candidate from Rae bareli and Amethi. On wednesday, UP in-charge avinash Pandey gave information on this. In the press conference with SP, avinash Pandey said that Rae bareli, Amethi are the main strongholds of UP. When the right time comes it will be decided who will fight.

Earlier, avinash Pandey said, "I am happy to tell you that with mutual coordination it has been decided that congress will contest on 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh and the remaining 63 seats will be contested by the india alliance (SP and other parties). There will also be candidates who will contest the elections. It is noteworthy that UP congress Chief ajay Rai has indicated on several occasions that rahul gandhi can contest from Amethi and priyanka gandhi Vadra can contest from Rae Bareli.

Previously on wednesday, SP state president naresh Uttam patel said that under the agreement with SP for lok sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, congress will contest elections on 17 seats including Rae bareli, Amethi, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, kanpur Nagar. Pandey said that congress will contest on 17 seats, while candidates from SP and other alliance partners will contest on the remaining 63 seats in the state.
