Film City will be constructed for 500 crs..!? Announced on Budget..!
It has been announced in the budget that a massive film city will be set up for Rs 500 crore. cinema celebrities from other states including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and kerala have invaded chennai and opened the shooting. The situation was reversed after the ramoji film city was completed in Hyderabad.
Most of the shootings are being held there. At this juncture, there has been a long-standing demand for a film city in Chennai. Speaking at the centenary celebration of Kalaignar in chennai last month, chief minister MK stalin assured that the film city would be set up at Poonthamalli, chennai for Rs 140 crore.
In the meantime, they have announced the budget session today. Addressing the budget, minister Thangam Thennarasu has announced that the film city will be set up in Poonthamalli next to chennai with a budget of about Rs 500 crore.
 He said the film would be created with sophisticated facilities and that it would be set up with a government private contribution. The announcement has been welcomed by the screen celebrities and directors. Today tamil Nadu Budget has been submitted.
