Manish Sisodia gets three days interim bail, niece's wedding
Rouse Avenue court has granted three days interim bail to aam aadmi party leader and former delhi deputy cm manish Sisodia. He has been granted interim bail to attend his niece's wedding ceremony in lucknow from 13 to 15 February. manish Sisodia had sought bail from the court from 12th to 16th february but he has got interim bail from 13th to 15th February. Earlier, the court had allowed manish Sisodia to meet his ailing wife once a week.
Judicial custody till 22 February
On february 5, the delhi court had extended the judicial custody of manish Sisodia till february 22. A few days after his arrest, manish Sisodia resigned from the post of delhi minister.
Sisodia was arrested on 26 february 2023
Special Judge M.K. Nagpal granted relief to Sisodia from february 13 to 15 in the cases being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) respectively. The cbi had arrested the former deputy chief minister on february 26, 2023, for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-repealed delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested him from tihar jail on march 9, 2023 in a related money laundering case following his arrest by the CBI.
Former deputy cm is lodged in Tihar Jail
Actually, former deputy cm of delhi manish Sisodia is lodged in tihar jail in the delhi Excise Policy case. His niece's wedding is on 14th february, in which he had appealed to the court to attend. Considering this, the court granted interim bail to Sisodia from 13 to 15 February.
