Maulana Mufti Salman Azhari increased in hate speech case in Gujarat

Accordingly Maulana Mufti salman Azhari's troubles have increased in the hate speech case. Another case has been registered against him in this matter in Gujarat. According to news agency PTI, an officer has confirmed that a case has been registered against Maulana, who lives in Mumbai. SP Shefali Barwal said, Azhari had given an inflammatory speech in an open ground in Modasa on december 24. Azhari was detained from mumbai on february 5 after he allegedly gave a hate speech in the limits of Junagadh's B Division police station on january 31. After this, kutch East police registered an FIR and arrested Azhari on february 8 for allegedly giving an inflammatory speech in Samakhiyari village of Bhachau taluka on january 31.

Meanwhile SP Barwal said, “After the arrest by Junagadh police, we learned that Azhari was in Modasa on december 24 to deliver a speech at an event organized by a local. The local man had claimed to talk on religion and de-addiction. However, a video revealed that Azhari gave a provocative speech at the event.”

Perhaps in Junagadh and kutch East, cases were registered against Azhari under sections 153B (promoting enmity between different religious groups) and 505 (2) (making statements inciting public mischief) of the indian Penal Code. Barwal said that apart from Sections 153B and 505(2) of the MODSA, charges have been filed against Azhari under Section 298 for “deliberately giving speech with intent to hurt the religious feelings of any person”. Moreover Mufti salman Azhari is a Sunni Sufi Muslim scholar. He has been a student of Al Azhar University, Cairo. He came into limelight after challenging Narasimhanand Saraswati to walk on fire. There was overwhelming support for this challenge from many scholars. Along with giving Islamic sermons, he is also active in various social and religious activities.
