Various organizations are giving their opinions regarding the Uniform Civil Code. Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi gave his reaction on the introduction of Uniform Civil Code Bill in the uttarakhand Assembly. He said that Muslims are not forced to follow any law against Shariat, making such a unilateral law and implementing it is against the Constitution, recognizing live-in relationship or making a law on it is against indian culture.

Maulana said that this law will destroy and ruin India's age-old culture and will also disintegrate the social and family fabric. The law has been made to intimidate and harass Muslims. Some communities have been kept separate in this law, so it means that this is not a Uniform Civil Code. And our Constitution does not allow such actions.

He also said that Muslims are ready to accept every law which does not conflict with Shariat. If Shariat has not been taken into account in the Uniform Civil Code. So Muslims are not bound to follow this law. UCC Committee Chairperson Ranjana Desai had said in her press conference 6 months ago that we will bring the law after talking to scholars of every religion, but the people of her committee did not talk to Muslim Ulemas and Muslim scholars did not consult them. Making and implementing a law unilaterally is against the Constitution.
