11 people died and more than 200 people injured in Harda accident

Meanwhile the madhya pradesh government on wednesday transferred the Superintendent of police (SP) of Harda, a day after an explosion at a firecracker factory in the district. 11 people died and more than 200 people were injured in this accident. The state home department issued an order to transfer Harda SP sanjeev Kanchan in the evening.

Furthermore the order said the indian police service (IPS) officer has been transferred to the post of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) at the state police headquarters in bhopal in Bairagarh area on the outskirts of Harda city, about 150 km from Bhopal. There was an explosion in the factory located on tuesday morning and a massive fire broke out. The state government has constituted a three-member committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) to conduct a detailed investigation into the blast.

Moreover indore administration, which swung into action after the massive explosion in the firecracker warehouse in Harda, sealed 20 establishments related to the business of explosive materials, including two firecracker factories, after finding various irregularities. The officials involved in the investigation teams gave this information on Wednesday. Officials said that during the last 36 hours, during the joint investigation operation of police and administration across the district, 20 establishments related to the business of firecrackers and explosive substances were sealed. According to officials, these include two firecracker manufacturing factories in Rau area where violations of different standards were found. He said that among the sealed commercial establishments, one firecracker warehouse was in a residential area, while in other warehouses, firecrackers were found stored in excess of the permitted limit and there were no adequate security arrangements.
