What is RLD's performance in Lok Sabha elections?
Reportedly after 1999, RLD has contested 5 elections, in which RLD contested 15 seats in 1999 and won 2 seats. In 2004, RLD contested 10 seats along with SP and won 3 seats. Whereas in 2009, RLD, which contested 7 seats in alliance with BJP, won 5 seats.
Meanwhile in the year 2014, the account of RLD which contested elections on 8 seats along with congress was also not opened and in the year 2019 also the condition of RLD is similar. RLD, which contested elections on three seats along with SP-BSP, did not win even a single seat.
When talking about the performance of RLD in the assembly elections in UP, it had fought the 2002 elections in collaboration with BJP. RLD had fielded its candidates on 38 seats in this election in which 14 RLD MLAs won. In the 2007 elections, RLD contested on 254 seats in which the party won only 10 seats. In 2012, RLD had contested elections in alliance with congress, RLD had fielded its candidates on 46 seats, out of which RLD won 9 seats. In the year 2017, RLD contested elections on 277 seats in which it won only one seat. Along with this, RLD had contested the 2022 elections in collaboration with SP, in which RLD contested 33 seats and RLD won 8 seats.
