Bharatiya Janata Party been in control in Lok Sabha elections for decades
Reportedly by late evening of 30 January, Samajwadi party released its first list of candidates for 16 lok sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. In this list released by SP, the most talked about name was that of SP candidate from Gorakhpur, Kajal Nishad. She has been active in politics for the last 13 years and has also contested the assembly and Mayor elections twice from Gorakhpur. Kajal Nishad has been an actress of tv industry and Bhojpuri industry.
Meanwhile Samajwadi party has given ticket to Kajal Nishad from Gorakhpur for the upcoming lok sabha elections 2024. If we look at his political career, since 2011, apart from the film industry, he has been seen active in the political field as well. First he contested the assembly elections from Gorakhpur on congress party ticket where he suffered a crushing defeat. After this, she also wanted to contest the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, but after not getting the ticket from congress, she joined SP in the year 2020-21.
Kajal Nishad contested the 2022 assembly elections on SP ticket from Campierganj seat of Gorakhpur. In which he got approximately 79 thousand votes and had to data-face defeat. SP again expressed confidence in him in the 2023 Municipal Corporation elections and contested the Mayor election from Gorakhpur. Kajal Nishad was defeated in this election also. Now once again SP chief akhilesh yadav has made Kajal Nishad the candidate for lok sabha elections from BJP's biggest stronghold Gorakhpur.
Perhaps Gorakhpur seat has always been dominated by bjp, currently famous Bhojpuri actor ravi kishan is the mp from here. Recently, cm Yogi had also praised him a lot. If bjp bets on him again this time, then we may see a contest between two actors from the film industry on this seat.
