The norms followed for allotment of lower berth while booking train tickets have changed. indian Railways has said that it is going to follow the new rules along with the existing procedure.

Indian Railways has said that priority will be given to pregnant women, old people and disabled people while allotting lower berths in trains.

If elderly women or pregnant women are traveling in lower berth seats then those in middle berth should sleep after 10 pm only. Until then the one in Lower Perth can sit. That is, the middle bed should not be lifted until 10 o'clock.

Passengers in the middle berth can freely sleep if the person in the lower berth agrees to sleep before 10 o'clock. Otherwise wait till 10 o'clock and sleep in Middle Perth only after that.

Upper Perth passengers will not have any problem with these regulations. They can go to the upper berth whenever they want and lie down. But there is a regular rule that lights should not be on after 10 o'clock.

It is noteworthy that these new regulations brought by the indian Railways are very useful for pregnant women, old people and disabled people.
