Russian embassy observes India's 75th Republic Day...


In a distinctive way, the Russian embassy in New delhi participated in the festivities marking India's 75th Republic Day. A hit song from the hindi film "Gadar: Ek prem Katha" was danced to by embassy staff members, professional dancers, and kids wearing vibrant indian clothing. "#Indians, happy Republic Day! From russia with love," the Russian embassy posted on friday along with a video. Denis Alipov, the Russian ambassador to india, also used X to wish happy birthday to india on the 75th anniversary of Republic Day. Alipov praised russia and India's relationship in his speech.

"Warmest felicitations to india on #RepublicDay! I'm wishing our indian friends happiness, health, and a prosperous #AmritKaal! #Bharat, long live! "May Rusi-Bharatiya Dosti live long!" wrote Alipov.

The yearly Republic Day procession happened in New Delhi's Kartavya Path. The primary guest at the procession was none other than French President Emmanuel Macron. 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Bharat-Loktantra ki Matruka' were the primary themes of this year's women-focused march. For the first time, women from the other two services and women soldiers of the indian Army's military police participated in the march as an all-women tri-services contingent.

During the 90-minute procession, India's military prowess and rich cultural legacy were on exhibit. The T-90 Bhishma tank, medium-range surdata-face-to-air missile, infantry combat vehicle, drone jammer system, weapon finding radar system "Swathi," and NAG missile system were on exhibit by the indian army.

Nine tables representing central ministries and departments and sixteen tableaux from states and Union territories were on display during the Republic Day parade in 2024. The states and Union territories whose tableaux were on exhibit were Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Ladakh, tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana.
