ED interrogates Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren
According to sources jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on sunday alleged that around 500 Central Reserve police Force (CRPF) personnel tried to enter the residence of jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soren without permission when he was being interrogated by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. The party has demanded an investigation into this matter. The party issued a statement claiming that it was illegal and was aimed at instigating Soren's supporters who were protesting near his residence to attack CRPF personnel. Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials questioned jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soren for more than seven hours on saturday at his official residence in a money laundering case related to the alleged land scam.
About 2,000 security personnel were deployed at cm Soren's residence. A statement issued by JMM general secretaries Supriyo Bhattacharya and vinod kumar Pandey said around 2,000 security personnel were deployed near the chief minister's residence and prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC were also imposed. "Meanwhile, around 500 CRPF jawans traveling in buses tried to enter the Chief Minister's residence without any permission or information," the statement said. This act is provocative and illegal.
It said "They wanted the protesters and party workers to attack the CRPF personnel so as to accuse the state government of failure of constitutional order and prepare the ground for imposing President's rule," it said.
