Nationalist congress Party (NCP) President sharad pawar on friday urged like-minded opposition parties not to rest until the current government at the Center is removed. Addressing a gathering in Mangalwedha town of Solapur district, Pawar accused the ruling bharatiya janata party (BJP) of remembering Lord ram only during elections. The ncp founder said, “Like-minded parties that have come together to provide an alternative should not rest till the last day of the elections. They should not rest until the present government which is targeting political opponents is removed.”

Talks going on with VBA regarding alliance

He said that maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is talking to Left parties and Prakash Ambedkar's Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) to form an alliance for the upcoming elections. MVA includes shiv sena (UBT), ncp and Congress. Regarding the ayodhya ram temple, the former Union minister said that he has received an invitation for the consecration ceremony of Lord ram, but this (invitation card) shows that only specific political parties and organizations are the main attraction of the event. Pawar said that after the construction of the temple is completed, he will go to ayodhya to worship Lord Ram. He said, “Lord ram belongs to the entire country and not to any one political party.”

Pawar (84) said that former prime minister Rajiv gandhi ordered to open the lock of ram Janmabhoomi and laid the foundation stone of ram temple in Ayodhya. As previous speakers at the event had mentioned Pawar's age during their speeches, the ncp founder said, "What's the point in age? What is important is the ideology.”
