Why Allahabad High Court ordered UP Congress to deposit Rs 2.66 crore with five% interest?

As per report Uttar Pradesh congress Committee has received a big blow from the supreme Court. The court has refused to stay the decision of the high court under which he had to pay Rs 2.66 crore. The court has asked congress to deposit Rs 1 crore within a month. Actually, this matter is from the time when congress was in power in UP. While in power in the state between 1981 and 1989, congress had used roadways buses. His bill is still outstanding. When ABP live asked a question to congress State President ajay Rai regarding this matter, he said that - we have not received any information on this subject yet. The appropriate legal answer will be given only after the meeting.

Earlier in the year 2023, a bench of allahabad high court had ordered UP congress to deposit Rs 2.66 crore with five% interest. This order of allahabad high court was challenged by the UP unit of Congress. In an order given on october 11, 2023, the bench of allahabad high court judge Justice manish Kumar and judge Justice vivek Chaudhary had said that the congress had used government buses to fulfill its political objectives.

Moreover the court had said that the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation also gave him invoices, which he disregarded and the payment is pending for 25-30 years. The court had also reprimanded congress at that time. The court had said that payment of the bill cannot be avoided by saying that today when they are no longer in power, political revenge is being taken from them.
