The role of social media in shaping political narratives and engaging voters has been particularly prominent in recent elections. In telangana, social media played a remarkable and unique role in shaping the political landscape.

The ruling party, BRS, leveraged social media influencers extensively, garnering significant publicity and overcoming challenging situations. The opposition, Congress, countered this by bringing in election strategist sunil Kanugulu and establishing a strong presence on social media. Both parties achieved noteworthy results through their strategic use of social media during the telangana Assembly elections.


However, the situation seems different in andhra pradesh (AP), where general elections are just two months away. Unlike the vibrant social media activity witnessed in telangana, AP's political landscape appears less animated. The absence of finalized candidate lists, uncertainties around TDP-Janasena alliances, and delays in the election narrative seem to be contributing factors.


Surprisingly, social media in ap is not buzzing with surveys and election-related content as seen in Telangana. The lack of momentum in social media activity for ap elections is attributed to factors such as incomplete candidate lists, unclear alliances, and a perceived lack of interest among the public.


While TDP's IT team is active, its impact may not be as visible, and the absence of a robust response team from the ruling ycp is noted. Overall, the social media activity of political parties in ap has reportedly decreased significantly compared to previous elections. The reasons for this subdued social media engagement in ap elections are varied, and the situation is being closely observed as the electoral landscape unfolds.
