What is the dispute between Gaza and Israel?
In 1947, the United Nations also said that Jerusalem would be made an international city for Jews. The Arab people did not accept this. When even the british could not resolve this dispute, they left palestine in its own situation in 1948. After the departure of the british, Jewish leaders together announced the creation of a country named Israel. After this a fierce war broke out between the two communities. By the time the ceasefire came into force, israel had occupied most of Palestine. Arab countries like jordan and egypt supported the Palestinian people in this war. Fought for them but had to data-face defeat. Only a small part was left with the Palestinians. jordan named the land under its occupation as West bank and the area occupied by egypt was called Gaza Strip.
There is a government of Hamas in Gaza Strip, which is considered an extremist organization. Many countries have even considered it a terrorist organization. These people consider themselves Palestinians and strongly oppose Israel. In 1967, syria and egypt again attacked Israel. israel also gave a befitting reply and its army was so defeated that it captured Gaza Strip, West bank, Sinai Peninsula and east Jerusalem. In 1973, egypt and syria again suddenly attacked Israel. Israeli forces suffered losses initially, but eventually pushed back the Arab forces.
In 1979, a peace agreement was signed between egypt and Israel. Under this, israel liberated the Sinai Peninsula and gave it to egypt and in return egypt recognized israel as a country. However, even after this, israel fought many wars.
