Badal said, "We will also provide pulses under the 'Aata-Dal' scheme, in which there has been a huge cut. Apart from this, the old age pension will be increased to Rs 2,500 per month." Badal also appreciated the overwhelming response to the women's conference organized by stree Akali Dal under the leadership of Hargobind Kaur. He said that the way women gathered in the conference proves how much respect women have in Shiromani Akali Dal.

The Akali Dal chief said that the heirs of Mata Bhag Kaur appealed to the women to unite under the banner of the party and strengthen it further.
