Thirst of 13 districts of Rajasthan will be quenched in the New Year

As soon as the change of power took place in Jasthan, the work of quenching the thirst of the parched throats of 13 districts of Eastern rajasthan has started on war footing. On Wednesday, on the instructions of Union Jal shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Secretary Debashree Mukherjee called an important meeting of officials of rajasthan and madhya pradesh in Delhi, in which the MoU of Eastern rajasthan Canal Project ERCP-Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) Link Project was finalized. There was an important discussion on giving shape. A meeting has been organized to finalize the MoU based on the revised plan of ERCP-Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project.

People of 13 districts of rajasthan will get drinking water

In this meeting held in Delhi, the draft of the MoU prepared was discussed in detail. With this, the draft of the MoU was finalized in the meeting. There is a strong possibility that both the state and central governments will sign the MoU in the coming January. Officials of Central Water Commission and National Water Development Agency were also present in the meeting. This link project will not only provide drinking water to the residents of 13 districts of Eastern rajasthan, but will also ensure water supply to industrial areas. 2.8 lakh hectare area of Malba and Chambal region of madhya pradesh will also be irrigated. Not only this, the DPR of the revised plan is also likely to be prepared by march next year.

Shekhawat engaged in efforts to implement ERCP in Rajasthan

Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been trying for a long time to implement ERCP in Rajasthan. He had said that this project will be implemented on priority basis as soon as the bjp government is formed in Rajasthan. Not only this, the Union minister had also included the ERCP-PKC link project in the five priority works, but it could not be materialized during the then ashok gehlot government. Now lakhs of residents of rajasthan and madhya pradesh will get the benefit of double engine government.
