Kamal Nath angry over removal of Pandit Nehru’s picture...

There is an atmosphere of commotion in the political circles of madhya pradesh regarding the removal of the

photograph of the country’s first prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru from the madhya pradesh Assembly.

Congress has expressed strong opposition to this. Due to this, there was an uproar on the very first day of the

winter session of the assembly in Madhya Pradesh.

The photo of former prime minister jawaharlal nehru has been removed and the photo of BR Ambedkar has

been replaced in his place. Since 1996, photographs of jawaharlal nehru and mahatma gandhi were placed

behind the Speaker’s seat, but now Pandit Nehru’s photo has been removed and Dr. BR Ambedkar’s photo has

been placed in its place. congress leaders have protested against this. The statement of senior congress leader

of madhya pradesh kamal nath has come to light on this. Expressing his views through social media, he has

targeted BJP. He has called it wrong and has also called it small minded.

He tweeted - Removing the portrait of the great freedom fighter, the country’s first prime minister and nation

builder Pandit jawaharlal nehru from the madhya pradesh assembly is highly condemnable. I welcome the

installation of the portrait of Constitution maker baba Saheb Ambedkar in the Assembly. baba Saheb’s picture

could have been placed at a place of honor in the assembly, but Pandit Nehru’s picture was deliberately

removed. I want to remind that I had announced that if congress government is formed in madhya pradesh, the

biggest statue of baba Saheb Ambedkar will be installed. If the bjp government really wanted to respect Dr.

Ambedkar, it would have taken the initiative to install the biggest statue of baba Saheb in the state and not

show its small mentality by removing the picture of Pandit Nehru. I demand that Pandit Nehru’s portrait should

be installed in the madhya pradesh assembly and the construction of the tallest statue of Dr. Ambedkar in the

state should be started.
