Reports suggest that water from dams and floodwaters are engulfing all areas, leaving people stranded and public transport severely affected.
According to the Meteorological Department, at least 25 cm of rain has been received in all the four districts. In particular, Tuticorin district, Kayalpatnam received the highest rainfall of 96 cm as of 10 am today. It has rained and most places received 25 to 50 cm. I request all the brothers and sisters of Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to provide relief to all the affected people. Due to the continuous heavy rains, instead of indiscriminately affecting the people like what happened in Chennai, using the experience of senior indian government officials and police officers, plan and plan the damaged roads, communications and relief work quickly.
