Orange Alert has been issued for tamil Nadu on the 16th and 17th. Let's see which districts are likely to rain. An orange alert has been issued for very heavy rains in tamil Nadu, puducherry, and Karaikal on december 16 and 17. The india Meteorological Department has said that there is a chance of very heavy rain in a couple of places tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

"A gyre zonal downward circulation prevails over the Southwest Bay of Bengal.

15.12.2023: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at many places in South tamil Nadu, a few places in North tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal. Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Ramanathapuram districts received heavy rain in one or two places.


16.12.2023: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at many places in South tamil Nadu, a few places in North tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal. Ramanathapuram, Pudukottai, Thoothukudi and Sivagangai districts received heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, thanjavur, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Virudhunagar districts and Karaikal areas received heavy rain at one or two places.
17.12.2023: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at many places in South tamil Nadu, a few places in North tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal. Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, thanjavur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Nagapattinam and Karaikal districts with heavy to very heavy rains, Villupuram, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Sivagangai, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Perambalur, ariyalur and Kallakurichi districts and puducherry areas received heavy rain at a couple of places.


18.12.2023: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places over coastal tamil Nadu, a couple of places over interior tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal. Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Pudukottai, and thanjavur districts received heavy rainfall at one or two places.
19.12.2023: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places over coastal tamil Nadu, a couple of places over interior tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal.Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Ramanathapuram districts received heavy rain in one or two places.

20.12.2023: Light to moderate rain may occur at a few places in tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal.

21.12.2023: Light to moderate rain may occur at a couple of places in tamil Nadu, Puduvai, and Karaikal.

15.12.2023, 16.12.2023: Cyclonic winds with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional speed of 55 kmph are likely to occur over South West Bay of bengal and adjoining coastal areas of tamil Nadu, gulf of Mannar, and adjoining Kumari Sea.

17.12.2023, 18.12.2023: Cyclonic winds with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and intermittent speed of 55 kmph are likely to occur in South West Bay of bengal and adjacent coastal areas of tamil Nadu, gulf of Mannar, Kumari Sea.

Arabian sea Regions:
17.12.2023: Cyclonic winds with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional gusts of 55 kmph are likely over coastal kerala and lakshadweep areas.

18.12.2023: Cyclonic winds with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional speed of 55 kmph are likely to occur over the kerala coast, adjoining Southeast Arabian sea, and lakshadweep areas. Fishermen are advised not to go to these areas on the above-mentioned days”. This is stated in the weather report.
