Who will get the relief amount of Rs.6000..!?

Government of tamil Nadu has issued an order to provide relief amount of Rs.6000 to the people affected by Michaung storm and flood. tamil Nadu government announced last week that Rs 6000 relief will be given to the public in the four districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, kanchipuram and Chengalpattu which were affected by Cyclone Mikjam and floods. As a result, an ordinance has now been published with detailed information related to it. According to the order of tamil Nadu government, a relief amount of Rs.6000 will be given to all the circles in Chennai. It has also been said that relief assistance will be provided only to the rain-affected areas in three districts namely Chengalpattu, kanchipuram and Thiruvallur.



In Chengalpattu district, relief amount of Rs.6000 and other assistance will be provided in full in Tambaram, Pallavaram, Vandalur circles and 3 revenue villages in Tiruporur circle.

In kanchipuram district, the relief will be available in full in Kunradthur circle and 3 revenue villages in Sriperumputhur circle. In Tiruvallur district also Rs.6000 relief will be given to Ponneri, Kummidipoondi, Aavadi, Poovindavalli, Uthukottai and Tiruvallur circles only.


Apart from the relief amount of 6000 rupees, many other relief assistances were also announced by the tamil Nadu government. Rs 8,000 per hectare for damaged huts, Rs 17,000 per hectare for more than 33 per cent crop damage, Rs 37,500 per hectare for cattle loss, Rs 4,000 for goat loss, Rs 50,000 for completely damaged fishing nets and trees, Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 for partially damaged trees. It has been said that compensation will be given.


It was announced by the tamil Nadu government last monday that Rs 17.60 crore relief materials have already been provided to the people affected by Cyclone Mikjam.
