Budget is against people and employees: BJP?
On the MCD budget, leader of Opposition and bjp councilor raja Iqbal Singh said that the budget is anti-people and anti-employees. He said, along with the recommendation to increase business tax in the budget, theexemption given in advance payment of property tax has been abolished. It has been recommended to impose anadditional 10 percent charge on group housing societies. He further said that aam aadmi party had claimed toregularize five thousand sanitation workers of the corporation, which is wrong. In the budget, it has been saidthat only 483 sanitation workers will be regularized. At the same time, delhi bjp spokesperson praveen ShekarKapoor says that at present the functioning of MCD is unconstitutional. He has written a letter to the Mayorregarding this. Many schemes re-introducedIn the budget presented for this new financial year of MCD, many incomplete or old schemes of the budget of2023-24 have been included which could not be completed. It was planned to complete three bio-minizationplants in june 2023 to process 200 metric tons of cow dung and vegetable waste per day. This scheme was againbrought in the budget. There are 225 in punjabi Bagh, 399 in Greater Kailash-1 Market, 81 in amar ColonyLajpat Nagar, 500 in shiva Market Pitampura, 2338 in gandhi Maidan chandni Chowk, 174 in Qutub Rose, 95in Nigam Bodh Ghat and Bagh Deewar Market, Fatehpuri. The plan for multilevel parking for 196 cars is alsoincluded in this budget.
