Municipal Commissioner presented budget of Rs 16,683 crore
Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD) Municipal Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti presented the estimated
budget for the financial year 2024-25. Compared to the last financial year, this year's budget has presented an
increase of Rs 600 crore and Rs 16,683 crore. In this budget, provision has been made for the facility of e-
registration for patients in corporation hospitals, while it has also been decided to issue mobile challans to those
found spreading garbage, dumping debris illegally and doing illegal parking. MCD claims that in the financial
year 2022-23, the corporation has received a revenue of Rs 2417 crore, which is Rs 400 crore more than the
previous year. At the same time, there is a plan to increase revenue through property tax even more in the new
financial year.

However, it will take two months to finalize this budget. For this, communication with people will be started
from next week. Mayor Dr Shaili Oberoi said that a meeting will be held with traders associations, RWAs and
