Rain water surrounding Chennai Metro Stations..!?
1. 4 feet of water around St. Thomas Mount Metro station. The way to enter the metro station is blocked. Passengers are advised to avoid this station and board trains at Alandur.
2. Water entering the two-wheeler parking area and rising despite continuous pumping. Currently, the water level in the parking area is 4 feet. Some two-wheelers have been left behind by their owners.
3. The road in front of Koyambedu Metro Station is flooded. It has been informed that the railway station can be accessed from the rohini Theater side via a foot over bridge.
4. It has also been informed that there may be difficulty in accessing the Arumbakkam metro station due to waterlogging on the roads near Arumbakkam station. 5. Other metro stations are accessible to the public, with small standing water only at street level. 5. train services usually started at 5 am despite storm damage. 6. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
