Former indian cricketer S sreesanth has been charged with cheating after allegedly receiving money from him with the promise of making him a partner in an impending sports academy. According to the complaint, which was submitted by a Kannur resident called Sareegh Balagopalan, two Udupi natives, Rajiv Kumar and K venkatesh Kinni, collected Rs 18.70 lakh from him, alleging that they would build a structure in the complainant's name at a resort owned by Rajiv Kumar in Karnataka's Kollur.

The plaintiff was also promised a stake in the sports Academy that the Udupi locals and sreesanth would establish. According to the petition, sreesanth and two others did not begin construction of the sports academy building and did not refund the money. The complaint was taken up by the Kannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, which ordered an inquiry into the claims. The case was filed under IPC section 420 for defrauding and dishonestly inducing property delivery.

As the indian batter approaches Sachin Tendulkar's ODI hundreds total, S sreesanth believes virat kohli would make it difficult for future batsmen to beat the milestones he sets. During the world cup 2023, kohli has been in spectacular form.
