Congress leader priyanka gandhi Vadra said on monday that those who ask for votes in the name of religion or

caste cannot ask for votes on the basis of their work. priyanka said this in an election rally in Kekri (Ajmer).

Taking a dig at the main opposition party bjp, he said, “Why is there talk of religion and caste during elections?

The leader who is saying this at the time of elections means that he is asking for votes on this basis. If he is

saying vote on the basis of religion or caste, it means that he cannot ask for votes on the basis of work.

He appealed to the people to vote with awareness and based on the work of the government. He also said that in

Rajasthan, congress leaders and workers have unitedly entered the election battlefield, whereas here the

Bharatiya Janata party is completely scattered. He said that big local leaders of the party have been sidelined.

Addressing the public meeting, congress General Secretary priyanka gandhi said, ...you have to think why

religion and caste are talked about during elections...real leaders who have worked for you seek votes on the

basis of work. They (BJP) have been in government in madhya pradesh for 18 years but when they stand on

the stage, they do not take the name of a single work... there also they talk about religion and caste and vote on

the basis of that.

Priyanka alleged that BJP’s policy is to benefit big industrialists and it does not think about the poor and the

middle class. He said, To pull from you and to irrigate big industrialists. This is their policy. While appealing to

the people to make the party’s candidates victorious, the congress leader warned that if bjp government is

formed in the state, it will stop all the public welfare schemes of the present congress government.
