Major portions of Earth are seen illuminated with lights while others appear dark. The video was initially shared by ESA in 2017. The video clip was captured by the astronaut Thomas Pesquet of France. It is now re-shared by the same agency on the occasion of diwali on the social media platform X ( formerly known as Twitter). It has gone viral again.

Similarly, the American space agency nasa greeted everyone on the occasion of diwali with an image of a Liller 1 globular cluster. It compares the densely packed group of stars that are located 30,000 light-years from Earth to earthen lamps or diyas lit during Diwali. According to NASA. In the photo, the blue and golden stars are seen shining brightly in a dense area, giving a glimpse of the diwali celebration. According to nasa, the Liller 1 globular cluster contains thousands to millions of stars. They are roughly spherical. It is also considered an extraordinary globular cluster when compared to others because the stars inside it took more than the required time to form.
